Santiphap Inkong-ngam was born in Lamphun, Thailand in 1973. He has studied filmmaking independently since he was young. Santiphap is well known as an independent filmmaker and has produced early experimental works such as “Woman Warrior Tale” (2000 / 38 min / experimental documentary) as part a residency project in Indonesia, “Crazed Gog(3)” (2001) which uses a mathematic problem to stipulate conditions, and “Monks & Me” (2003), a film making workshop with 14 monks. His experimental works have produced a new vocabulary that is uncommon in main stream films, using a contemporary Eastern way of thinking expressed in his future film “JUST A SECOND; The Khong Legend,2003”. It is not a narrative and it transmutes itself through situations on a journey along the Khong River. Santiphap currently lives in Chiangmai.
